Fall is here and that makes it the perfect time to bake! Sometimes baking all your favorite holiday recipes can lead to an imbalance of too much of the bad stuff (sugar, etc) and not enough of the good stuff.
To help balance the scales and keep my gut healthy, I love to add my favorite Just Thrive Probiotic to my recipe.
Just Thrive is odorless and tasteless so it’s very convenient to hide in any recipe for an added digestive and immune support!
It can handle high heat which makes the options endless on what recipes you can add it to. You can bake with Just Thrive probiotic up to 455 degrees.
It’s the easiest way to get your daily probiotic in for the day, especially for kids that don’t want to swallow pills!
I sprinkled in a couple capsules of Just Thrive probiotic to my favorite fall recipe that you will LOVE:
Apple Crisp!
Who doesn’t love a good Apple Crisp?! I dare say this recipe is not only super simple, but it’s darn near guaranteed to make your taste buds sing.
The Recipe:
You will need:
- 5 Granny Smith apples
- 2 cubes butter
- 2 cups flour (can substitute your favorite gluten free variety)
- 2 cups brown sugar (learn how to make sugar-free brown sugar here)
- 2-3 capsules of Just Thrive probiotic
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°
Step 2: Slice the apples thin and put on the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan.
Step 3: Pour 1 cup of water over the apples and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Step 4: Open up the Just Thrive probiotic capsules and sprinkle them in.
Step 5: Mix together the butter, flour, and brown sugar until crumbly.
Step 6: Put the crumb mixture over the apples. Cover with tinfoil.
Step 7: Bake for one hour. Uncover for the last 40 minutes.
Step 8: Serve warm!
I hope you enjoy this Apple Crisp recipe and love it as much as my family! Not only are you enjoying a Fall favorite, but you’re giving your crew a healthy dose of immune support too! YUM!
