Podcast One Presents:
LadyGang, the Hollywood girl posse with LadyGang Quickie. Here's Keltie Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jac Vanek. Let's make this quick.
Keltie:
Hello, Hello, Hello! Welcome to the LadyGang Quickie! I'm back here with Jac and Becca and a special special guest for you. A treat for your bodies, your ears, your minds, and your bellies.
Becca:
There you go.
Keltie:
It's all of those things! We're so excited. Alright, so because this is a special episode, I have a little introduction. Are you guys ready?
Jac:
I don’t want to say we purposely planned this episode just for your gut, but we were giving you the gift. I feel so honored and I desperately need it, so I'm very excited.
Keltie:
Okay! Alright, it’s officially just about 30 days until 2023. We've not only spent the last year deep-diving into why Jac can't poop...
Becca:
I've also put on pants.
Keltie:
And in general, we've spent about seven years on this podcast trying to figure out how our insides work and we’re trying to set you ladies up for success in the new year and through the holiday season. And so the madness ends today. We are joined by Tina Anderson.
Introduction of Guest:
Tina Anderson was once a trial lawyer. She moved to be the house counsel for a family pharmaceutical company and while working there, she realized she could actually change the game. She was more interested in natural health and found her life’s work. She channeled her energy into learning about disease prevention and good health maintenance.
This led her to discover the importance of gut health and how connected and crucial it is for overall health and wellness. Tina and her husband created a unique supplement with superior probiotic strains licensed from renowned researcher Dr. Simon Cutting, promoting gut health and probiotics. Tina shares her passion for wellness, helping others live their best life physically and emotionally.
Welcome Tina:
Tina:
Thank you so much. I am so excited to be here, ladies.
Keltie:
Where should we start? Good health, it is all about good health.
Tina:
I can't overstate that enough.
Becca:
First, I want to start with your story. I love a lady who spent years in law school and a career and then decided—how did that happen?
Tina:
Well, I was in litigation for many years. It was grueling with crazy hours, and it wasn’t fulfilling.
When I started having children, I realized I couldn’t do that anymore. I wanted work-life balance.
I had the opportunity to work for a family pharmaceutical business. It was great making a difference delivering life-saving meds.
But over time, I saw abuses—overprescribing medications and emphasis on treatment over prevention.
My husband and I are deep thinkers; we meditate, pray, and lead a natural life with our three kids.
By prayer, meditation, and study, we licensed exclusive probiotic strains and disrupted the probiotic space.
Keltie:
Starting a business with your husband sounds terrifying.
Tina:
It was! We put our entire life savings in, with three kids. I had never worked so hard in my life.
I was adamant about not jeopardizing what was important: my marriage and family.
I managed to keep that balance even with the effort required to build the company.
Jac:
Let’s get into guts. Why is gut health so important to overall health?
Tina:
The gut is the foundation of overall health.
People think probiotics are just for gas, bloating, diarrhea, or constipation.
But gut health connects to skin health (rashes, acne), mood disorders, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, autoimmune issues, allergies...
Almost every disease is linked to gut imbalance.
Modern life hurts our gut: antibiotics, glyphosate (Roundup) sprayed on foods and parks, household products that kill bacteria, stress...
These factors destroy our gut bacteria, causing rises in allergies and immune disorders.
Becca:
There are so many probiotic options. How do you know which work?
Tina:
Most probiotics die before reaching the intestines due to stomach acid and body temperature.
Our product uses spore-based probiotics—they have a shell that protects them through the digestive tract.
Once in the intestines, spores open to live cells which work for 21-28 days.
Most products claim high CFU (colony forming units), but more is not better.
Our product has 3 billion CFU but shows a 30% favorable gut shift in studies after two weeks.
Jac:
I took antibiotics recently and my gut was wrecked. How can I fix it?
Tina:
Great news—you can heal your gut.
Eat organic, avoid processed foods, reduce stress, practice meditation, get nature walks.
Use probiotics like ours that help repair your gut lining.
We have a clinical trial showing our strains reduce leaky gut symptoms after 30 days.
Keltie:
When and how do you take the probiotic?
Tina:
One capsule a day with food, preferably with your largest meal.
Start slow if you experience die-off symptoms (gas, bloating).
Stick with it for a couple of months to see benefits.
Keltie:
Now, about stress—your new product Just Calm—
Tina:
Yes. 90% of serotonin, the happy hormone, is produced in the gut.
Our probiotic helps calm the GI system and supports serotonin production.
Just Calm is a psychobiotic addressing external stressors by reducing cortisol and supporting the gut-brain axis via the vagus nerve.
It helps people handle stress better, improves mood, cognitive function, focus, and creativity.
Becca:
How do you take Just Calm with the probiotic?
Tina:
Start probiotic first. After about 3 weeks, add Just Calm to your routine.
Take Just Calm in the morning to help manage daily stress.
Many people report improved sleep as well.
Keltie:
We have a special deal for listeners—20% off the 90-day probiotic bottle and Just Calm with promo code LadyGang at justthrivehealth.com.
Closing:
Keltie:
Thank you so much, Tina! This has been amazing.
Tina:
Thank you for having me! We also have a product coach available for questions.
